Hey KFD friends!
After 3 nights of backpacking in the midnight sun of northern Norway (more to come on that later...) Michael and I are back in civilization in the city of Tromsø, Norway. Today, Michael ran a vertical kilometer -- and I watched. The race proved to be an epic scramble up a mountain that at times was literally vertical:
While waiting for runners to pass by, the view didn't hurt either:
And there's such thing as a "hiking stack" right?
The most impressive part of the race - besides the runners who were willing to suffer the 1044 meters of climbing at an all out sprint - was the level of support & spectators that showed up to clamor their cow bells and cheer on the racers:
All said & done, it was a great experience.
